Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 8 September 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MakeQuote, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
2. Description of Service
MakeQuote is a marketplace that connects customers seeking custom manufacturing with manufacturers who can quote, produce and deliver projects. MakeQuote facilitates quoting, communication, payments and production tracking, but is not itself a manufacturer.
3. Accounts & Roles
Users register as customers, manufacturers or admins. Each role has scoped permissions. Customers create projects and accept quotes. Manufacturers receive opportunities and submit quotes. Admins manage the platform. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
4. Projects & Quotes
Customers are responsible for the accuracy of project briefs and uploaded files. Manufacturers are responsible for the accuracy of their quotes, including pricing, lead time and delivery. A quote is only binding once accepted by the customer.
5. Payments
Customer payments are processed in full at the time of checkout through MakeQuote's payment provider. MakeQuote does not hold customer funds directly. Payment status is confirmed through server-side transaction verification and provider webhook notifications. By making a payment you agree to the applicable payment provider's terms.
6. Platform Commission
MakeQuote applies a 10% platform commission on accepted work. Manufacturers earn 90% of the project value. Commission and earnings are tracked per payment.
7. Manufacturer Payouts
Manufacturer earnings and commission records are structured for future payouts. Paystack transfer payouts will become available once manufacturer banking verification and payout eligibility requirements are met. MakeQuote does not guarantee payout timing until payouts are activated.
8. Production & Delivery
Manufacturers are responsible for producing and delivering accepted work. Customers are responsible for confirming completion. MakeQuote provides tracking and communication tools but is not liable for the outcome of manufacturing work.
9. File Sharing
Customers may upload project files. Files are made available to manufacturers matched to the relevant project. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the rights to share uploaded content.
10. Reviews
Customers may leave reviews for completed projects. Reviews should be honest and based on actual experience. MakeQuote may hide reviews that violate platform guidelines.
11. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not misuse the platform, submit false information, circumvent payment processing, harass other users, or attempt to access data they are not authorized to access.
12. Limitation of Liability
MakeQuote is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MakeQuote is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform or from manufacturing outcomes.
13. Changes to Terms
MakeQuote may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
